First Visit & Early Dental Care

From your child’s very first dental visit, Valley Pediatric Smiles educates patients on how to best care for their teeth and gums. From brushing techniques to learning to get comfortable with the dentist, to early exams, Valley Pediatric Smiles serves as your supportive partner in helping your child establish good oral health.

Preventive & Diagnostic Pediatric Dentistry

Valley Smiles Pediatric Dentistry helps young patients prevent oral health problems with regular exams, cleanings, fluoride treatments, BPA-free dental sealants, habit counseling and appliances, space maintainers, and custom mouthguards for young athletes. Additionally, child-size equipment for treatments and reduced radiation digital X-rays, ensure diagnosing problems is fast, easy, and stress-free for young patients.

Restorative Dentistry

Valley Smiles Pediatric Dentistry provides complete restorative dentistry to restore teeth to good health after suffering decay or infection. From mercury-free white fillings to baby root canals, pediatric dental crowns, and extractions if necessary, our Board-Certified Pediatric Dentists provide safe, effective restorative treatments.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Children, like adults, can suffer embarrassment or low self-esteem due to the appearance of their teeth or smiles. Valley Smiles Pediatric Dentistry offers age-appropriate cosmetic dental treatments including teeth whitening, microabrasion (stain-removal), non-invasive white spot removal, and cosmetic bonding for chipped, cracked, or misshapen teeth.

Early Orthodontics

Pediatric patients with signs of orthodontic conditions can begin early orthodontic treatment with space maintainers, or oral appliances to break habits that impact teeth alignment and bite.

Emergency Pediatric Dentistry

Valley Smiles Pediatric Dentistry provides emergency dental care for toothaches, cracked teeth, split teeth, lost dental restorations, and other dental traumas. Emergencies occurring during regular dental office hours are immediately prioritized. After-hours emergency care is available from our on-call pediatric dentists.

Advanced Pediatric Dental Technology

At our modern pediatric dental practice in Ramsey, NJ, young patients are treated with tools, devices, and equipment designed to fit comfortably in small mouths. Digital X-rays reduce radiation exposure by up to 90%. Quiet dental tools, painless intraoral cameras, and a variety of engagement activities such as digital entertainment during treatment help children receive essential oral healthcare in a comforting environment.

Behavior & Pain Management

As an inclusive pediatric dental practice, we provide a variety of services designed to help children with special needs, fears, or anxiety. Comfort items including sunglasses, stuffed animals, and prizes for completing appointments are provided at each appointment.  General anesthesia is available when necessary. We prioritize positive reinforcement for habit-breaking, offer laughing gas for fearful patients, use The Wand single-tooth anesthesia system for comfortable numbing, and offer desensitization visits to help children feel comfortable and welcomed at the dentist.
